Who is Lachit Barphukan?
Lachit Borphukan was famous for breaking Mughal strategies with his fast moving army. His army sailed up the Brahmaputra river from Dhaka towards Guwahati. However, Mughals were not aware about this quick attacks.
In Delhi central government organized a three days celebration. This can be considered as a small step to make our nation aware about, such unsung heroes of the Ahom dynasty towards defeating the Mughals
